xanga looks so new...

i don't know what the heck is going on but i've been having chest pains for about a week now. i know. yes. i said a week. it comes and goes. i know better. i know i should get it checked out. maybe i'm scared. i hope it's nothing. hoping...it's just muscle pain. too much going on in the life. you know how that goes. i'm sure it's just stress. i think i need to up my long walks on the beach or go book another vacation. i just feel dahp dahp hae. i would translate but the definition just gets lost. can't wait for sunday. i will be having a "couple" of drinks, rooting on my ny giants.

it's good to be back in cali!

back on xanga. it's been a LONG time. what is this friends lock all about? lol. it's been too long.

max and i are planning a trip to hk, shanghai, and beijing. you all need to hook me up with some info cuz i'm korean and he's viet. we want to have a kick ass time and eat some yummy chinese food. so let me know where we should go...and what we should eat!

The Amish of Nickel Mines, Pa.—a pacifist religious community in rural Lancaster County who practice a simple farming life without modern conveniences much the same as their 17th century Swiss-German forbears—suffered a shocking intrusion into their world when a local milkman, Charles Roberts, invaded a one-room schoolhouse, shooting 10 young girls, leaving five of them dead.

During the ordeal, one of the girls, 13-year-old Marian Fisher, offered to be killed first in hopes that the others would be spared. (View video: A Young Girl's Sacrifice.) A Beliefnet member wrote of this event: "I cannot ignore this unbelievable act of love by a girl this young. In my mind, this little girl did no more or no less than Jesus did for us on the cross."

Within hours of the shooting, the families of the children not only expressed their forgiveness of the killer but reached out to his family, giving food and raising money for his wife and children. In a Beliefnet video interview, Herman Bontrager, a spokesman for the Amish of Nickel Mines, explained, "The Amish believe that we must forgive because we ourselves need to be forgiven. [They're] trying to live the way Jesus lived. He turned the other cheek, he told us to love everybody, to love our enemies."

A Beliefnet member noted, "The message of forgiveness, rather than vengeance, goes to the heart of how we should behave toward each other. This is an extreme example of how true faith and true forgiveness can be awe-inspiring.

If the Amish can forgive the man who killed their children, how much more should the rest of us be able to forgive the petty hurts and perceived insults we receive each day?"

My take on Life...always full of surprises some good some bad, not perfect but each day a gift...and that's exactly why they call it the present.

I met a new friend named Raleigh last week. He is my inspiration to do all things good and not to take things for granted. The Doctors had to amputate his leg due to gangrene but you could never tell that it bothers him. Raleigh doesn't even know how much he's changed my heart in a 2 visit period. You see, Raleigh is a Senior in an Assisted Living Facility. He's lived there for over a year now. I visit him weekly. We play cards together and then just chat. There is so much wisdom. Although I'm the one volunteering to put a smile on his face, I feel as though I am gaining so much from him out of this experience.

I recommend to all of you, please go volunteer. It's hard to put into words this feeling...and it's something I def'ly want you all to feel. Trust me, it's worth it! So, why don't you give it a try? I can even help match you to specific events that you would enjoy. It doesn't have to be meeting with Seniors...we can even adopt-a-highway together or feed the homeless on skid row. Please let me know if you are interested.

does anyone recommend me to get tickets to the musical Wicked? tickets are on sale starting today for it's LA run. was it good? or not worth it.

October has been busy. We flew to from LAX to JFK every other weekend this month to attend some weddings. Too bad they weren't on saturday and sunday of the same weekend. Flying for about 6 hrs each way and then having to adjust to the 3 hr time difference was a bi*ch but it was all worth it to see everyone. Here are some pics from those weekends minus some that I'm sure the ladies will not like posted. ( I got some titty pics! hehe)

we took a lil road trip from cali to the mojave desert.

the arch rock. these formations are over 150 million years old.

another natural formation. hiking and rock climbing = good times.

the valley of fire. extremely serene.

here's a lil info if you ever want to visit.

The Valley of Fire derives its name from red sandstone formations, formed from great shifting sand dunes during the age of dinosaurs, 150 million years ago. Complex uplifting and faulting of the region, followed by extensive erosion, have created the present landscape. Other important rock formations include limestones, shales, and conglomerates. Prehistoric users of the Valley of Fire included the Basket Maker people and later the Anasazi Pueblo farmers from the nearby fertile Moapa Valley. The span of approximate occupation has been dated from 300 B.C. to 1150 A.D. Their visits probably involved hunting, food gathering, and religious ceremonies, although scarcity of water would have limited the length of their stay. Fine examples of rock art left by these ancient peoples can be found at several sites within the park.

we received a special invitation to the FOXE awards where i met tera patrick and lexington steele. tera is even hotter in real life. she is one good lookin' gal!

we hit up vegas as well. no pics that i can show on xanga hehe. scandalous. seafood buffet at rio was pretty good. played some texas hold 'em. then we saw la femme at the MGM. next time i wanna hit up the palms. celine wasn't playing till next week so i'll have to catch her the next time around. i must admit vegas is always a good time! don't ya agree?

i had some yummy chocolate covered strawberries. today should be national chocolate eating day. in addition to chocolate, we sell lotsa condoms, k-y, and astroglide today.

hey don't forget to wish your momma and pappa a happy valentines day and the lil pooches and kitties in your life. did you ever notice that there are a lot of november babies...hehe. i like to call em valentines day babies. do the math. Happy valentine's day everyone!!!

i'm actually starting to miss nyc and all you ppl. i love you guys.

i'll be spending today with these two lovely girls and max.

i had a 29 yo patient yesterday named "julia" who had not been to the OBGYN in 2 years. she went in for a routine pap. the results showed that there was a growth of some abnormal cells. a biopsy was performed and she was diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer. then one week later julia found out that she was pregnant. all of her doctors believe it is in her best interest to terminate this pregnancy because they want to fight her cancer aggresively. she knows that it's quite possible that she can carry to term and have the baby but not make it through childbirth. julia also knows this is her only chance to have her own baby. she wants to take that chance. now her cancer has spread and she is in stage 2. julia will be starting chemo next week and she is going to fight this cancer. please have her in your thoughts and prayers.

ladies, please do me a favor and make sure that you don't miss your yearly examinations. missing months to a year can make a HUGE difference. please don't put it off. when was the last time you had a pap? there are usually no noticeable signs of early cervical cancer but it can be detected early with yearly check-ups. some possible signs are pain during sexual intercourse, unusual vaginal discharge, pelvic pain, and vaginal bleeding. know your risk factors. some rfs are having HPV, smoking cigarettes, oral contraceptives, and having many sex partners. the prognosis is always better when the cancer is found early. take care of yourself.

men, you can help. make sure that your wife, gf, sister, mother, cousin, or female friends take care of themselves in this way.

if there are any women out there who are over the age of 21 or who are under 21 and have been sexually active who have NOT yet had a pap smear, please schedule one today. have no insurance? don't worry. there are many planned parenthood facilities and local clinics that will take care of you. don't be scared. the examination is not bad at all. it only takes a couple of seconds.

i hope that i will be able to hold julia's baby in the near future and congratulate her on beating her cancer! i will keep you all posted. hopefully, i will be posting the baby pictures here too.

good news.

i am now licensed in california also. woop woop. i thought i would never ever take the boards again. i learned to never say never. i'm not gonna lie, it seemed harder than when i took it right after i graduated college. i hadn't taken any kind of exam since...6 years ago. i have trouble staying awake at CE programs hehe. thank goodness i passed both board examinations. now, it's time to celebrate..."celebration time, c'mon, let's celebrate and have a good time!". so, who's drinking with me in ny? i'll be coming back to the east coast sometime in march and we can celebrate then. i accept all shots and drinks...minus 151!
